The Latino Video Art Festival of New York celebrates its first edition, showcasing the work from 40 artists that reflection about their complex social, cultural & dynamic environment where historic, perceptive, conceptual, economical and technological factors converge.
Region 0 recoge vídeos monocanal que representan las tendencias actuales en el área de la creación audiovisual, mostrando el resultado de los múltiples enfoques conceptuales y procesuales de sus creadores dentro de una amplia muestra en la que tienen cabida las muy diversas formas de expresión dentro del vídeo arte./ Region 0 gathers mono channel videos representing the actual tendency on audiovisual media creation, showing the result of multiple conceptual focus of their creators on a vast sample where diverse forms of expression fit on visual arts.

Alrededor de 300 piezas de videoarte han sido visionadas para llegar a esta selección, combinando una convocatoria abierta y un proceso de comisariado directo. El proceso de visualización de las obras se llevó a cabo vía Internet, facilitando de esta manera la participación de los artistas en el festival, un total de 147 creadores de Latinoamérica y España, algunos de ellos residentes en Estados Unidos./ Around 300 pieces where seen to arrive to this selection, on an open casting and a direct process. This occur via internet, facilitating the participation of the artists on this festival, 147 creators from Latinamerica and Spain are participating, some of them reside in the USA.
