Desde el pasado 2 de octubre, el Museo Amparo (México) alberga la obra de uno de los grandes íconos del arte contemporáneo del siglo XX, la artífice francesa Annette Messager. / Since last 2nd of October Museo Amparo (Mexico) houses the work by one of the greatest icons in contemporary art of the 20th century, the crafted artworks by the French Annette Messager.
‘Rumeur‘ reúne una selección de las obras más representativas de la artista, un viaje al pasado en el que podemos conocer un poco más de la trayectoria de Annette Messager. Formas, figuras que se muestran en una variedad de técnicas, como fotografía, dibujo, collage y ambientación. / ‘Rumeur‘ brings together a selection of representative artworks by the artist, it is a journey to the past in which we can know further of the career of Annette Messager. Forms, shapes that appear in a variety of techniques, such as photography, drawing, collage and intervening the environment.
En las obras de Annette Messager encontramos desde lápices de colores hasta animales, elementos que recrean momentos de su infancia en la costa francesa Berck-sur-Mer. En esta época, la artista se sentía atraída hacia los enfermos de los hospitales cercanos, de quiénes admiraba particularmente su alegría hacia la vida a pesar de las adversidades. / Into her artworks we can find from pencils, animals, elements from her childhood at the French coast in Berck-sur-Mer. At that time, the artist found very appealing for the sick people at the close hospitals, she admired them and very particularly because of their way of enjoying and seizing life in spite of adversity.
La colección incluye dos de las grandes obras que se convertirían en un hito del arte actual: ‘Articulés-Desarticulés’ (2001-2002) pieza que integra fragmentos de marionetas, fue aclamada en Documenta XI, en Alemania; y ‘Casino’ (2005) que recrea las entrañas de la ballena que comiera a Pinocho, recibió el León de Oro en la 51 Bienal de Venecia. / The collection includes two of the artworks that marked contemporary art history, ‘Articulés-Desarticulés’ (2001-2002), piece that integrates fragments from puppets, acclaimed at Documenta XI in Germany; also ‘Casino’ (2005) which is a recreation inside the bowels of the whale that ate Pinoccio, awarded with the Gold Lion in the 51° Venice Biennial.
La exhibición estará en el Museo Amparo de Puebla hasta el 1º de enero de 2011; después de esta escala, se presentará en el Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso en la Ciudad de México. / The exhibition will be at Museo Amparo at Puebla (Mexico) until the 1st of january, 2011; after this residence it will travel to the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso in Mexico City.
